ABOUT ALAINA’S CLASS
Alaina’s classes are meant to help you leave your worries at the door and enjoy a focused yet fun introduction to belly dance. At the beginning of each class, you will start with light stretching and work up to a cardio-based warm up session. From there, Alaina will teach the many different basic moves to bellydance, from head to toe, focusing on roughly three moves per class. To accommodate different abilities and skill levels, Alaina will show several ways of dancing a move. These moves will be strung together to form a short choreography, which will be mastered by the end of the 10-week session! Alaina makes sure to incorporate traditional raqs sharqi music and beats into her class, as well as music from around the world that will surely get your hips going!
Alaina has led several belly dance tutorials and Jamaican dancehall workshops. Previously, she has joined the Upper Grand District School Board Continuing Education Program to teach weekly classes in Egyptian belly dance.
Alaina is currently not teaching regular weekly classes but is available for private instruction and for workshops.
